MUSICAL PATH
Director, founder, and lead singer of the group Canalón de Timbiquí, multiple winners of the Petronio Álvarez Pacific Music Festival. Her voice has been immortalized in anthems of the Colombian Pacific region. Nidia has collaborated with various musical groups and projects around the world, including artists from the African continent. These are some of her most notable collaborations.

She releases her solo album, Pacífico Maravilla. She wins the Latin Grammy for Best Children's Album with Canticuentos. She is recognized by Forbes Colombia. She is selected by Shakira to open her concert in Cali.
2023
The Ministry of Environment and National Parks of Colombia named an orchid in his honor: Lepanthes nidiagongorana.
2019
Named Afro-Colombian of the Year by Color de Colombia. Nominated for a Latin Grammy for Best Folk Album with "De mar y río".
2016
Shock Award for Best Folk Album.
